Job Description:
Auxilium Health is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and analytically skilled intern to join our team as an AI/ML Intern. Ideal candidates are students pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, data science, or related fields with an interest in applying artificial intelligence to healthcare and biomaterials development. You will collaborate closely with our technical teams, contributing to the implementation of AI strategies for material innovation, infection prediction, wound healing assessment, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of machine learning models for predicting infection risks, wound healing progression, and biomaterial performance.
Analyze datasets related to microbiological interactions, biomaterial characteristics, and clinical outcomes.
Support the integration of AI tools for real-time monitoring and reporting of wound care processes.
Evaluate AI and machine learning techniques to optimize biomaterial design and functionality.
Prepare and present clear, concise reports summarizing analysis results and recommendations for technical improvements.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Deep knowledge of machine learning algorithms, data analytics, and AI applications.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in handling data and documenting results.
Good communication skills, with the capability to clearly translate technical insights into actionable recommendations.
Enthusiasm for leveraging AI and data-driven approaches to enhance healthcare technologies.
