Job Description:
Auxilium is looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, and analytical intern to join our team as a Biomaterials Intern. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in biomedical engineering, microbiology, polymer science, biomaterials, or a related field, with an interest in wound healing and infection control. You will work closely with our research and development team, contributing to the technical development of innovative biomaterials and wound dressings.
Responsibilities:
Assist in laboratory experiments to test the effectiveness of biomaterials for wound healing and infection prevention.
Conduct microbiological assays to evaluate antimicrobial performance and biofilm prevention capabilities.
Perform basic chemical and physical analyses to characterize biomaterial properties and performance. Help optimize material formulations to enhance wound dressing functionality, such as exudate management and infection detection.
Collect and analyze experimental data, and assist in preparing clear, concise reports of your findings.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Basic laboratory skills, particularly in microbiology, chemistry, or materials science.
Ability to conduct experiments accurately and maintain detailed documentation.
Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn new scientific techniques.
Effective communication skills to clearly present experimental results and recommendations.
