Our cybersecurity team plays a crucial role in protecting sensitive patient data and ensuring the integrity of our digital infrastructure. We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern with a strong interest in cybersecurity to support our team and gain hands-on experience in this critical field.
Internship Overview:
This internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. The selected candidate will gain exposure to various cybersecurity departments, assisting with documentation, handling entry-level tickets, and contributing to education and testing initiatives.
Occasional travel to other Cleveland Clinic locations may be required.
Responsibilities:
Documentation: Assist in creating, updating, and organizing cybersecurity policies, standard operating procedures, and incident reports. Ensure records are accurate and up to date.
Shadowing Cybersecurity Teams: Gain exposure to multiple cybersecurity functions, including threat intelligence, incident response, risk management, compliance, and security operations.
Entry-Level Ticket Support: Learn how to assess, prioritize, and respond to basic cybersecurity tickets related to access control, vulnerability assessments, and security alerts.
Education & Testing: Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives by assisting with phishing simulations, security training modules, and testing internal systems for compliance.
Data Analysis: Work with cybersecurity teams to collect and analyze security data, generate reports, and identify potential security risks or trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Python).
Basic understanding of network security, risk management, and threat analysis.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare cybersecurity environment.
