Job Description:
The schedule for this position is variable. It will involve work throughout the park system, but your headquarters will be the Watershed Stewardship Center in the Cleveland Metroparks' West Creek Reservation in Parma, Ohio. In this role, you will report directly to the Watershed Volunteer Program Coordinator, Sara Corrigan.
During your internship, you will provide administrative and technical support for day-to-day operations of the WVP with the Watershed Volunteer Coordinator. This might include database management and reporting, monitoring and restoration project design, event coordination, and communication with volunteers. You will learn and engage in water quality monitoring: both water chemistry monitoring, and biological monitoring via macroinvertebrates. It will also involve physical work in the field with volunteers during events.
