Job Description:

During the internship period at CollaMedix Inc., the Medical Device R&D Intern will:

  • Learn how to use scientific laboratory equipment, including pH meters, balances, centrifuges, fluid measurement devices, etc.

  • Learn how to use hand tools to fabricate small parts, and help fabricate a next-generation CollaFabric production system.

  • Learn how to use laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and tensile testers, to perform process validation and production checks.

  • Learn how to perform manufacturing processes for CollaFabric, including dialysis, electrocompaction, thread drying, roping, and spooling.

  • ·Assist in data collection and analysis for ongoing research projects for new product development.

  • Present research findings in writing and orally.

  • Contribute hands-on to the production effort for CollaFabric and other products.

  • Work on multiple projects in parallel.

  • Work collaboratively as a team member and learn to communicate effectively with the team.

  • Gain knowledge to implement Design Control related activities and documentation such as Risk Management, Verification and Validation, Design History File, and change control documentation.
