Job Description:

The intern will work on one of several projects or multiple projects if time allows. Our software platform, Quantum Aerial, is currently in its second phase of development and the intern will be working on building or expanding certain features of the platform.

 

They will work with YBI's Dev team, who built Quantum Aerial through their MVP program.

 

The intern will be working on building several features:

  • Continuing the integration of invasive species detection from aerial imagery

  • Building phosphorous detection features in soil and water from multispectral drone imagery

  • Adding the capability to ingest, display, and analyze open-source visual data from various sources such as NASA, USGS, OpenAerialMap, iNaturalist, and other sources as feasible.

 

The deliverable for these projects will be a working feature that potential clients can utilize on our software platform. If time doesn't allow for the feature to be fully integrated and functional, a mostly working feature that is not fully integrated is also acceptable.

 

The required skills and competencies for these projects include:

  • Python

  • Git

  • React

  • Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision experience

  • Software Development experience

  • Remote Sensing or GIS skills and experience is a plus
